The nomination comes on the heels of his debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, being certified Platinum by the RIAA in recognition of over 1 million albums sold since its July 18th release. The debut album also remained inside the top 10 of the Billboard 200 albums chart for 13 non-consecutive weeks. You’ll Be Alright, Kid includes multiple Billboard Hot 100 charting songs; “Ordinary,” “Eternity,” “Bloodline” ft. Jelly Roll, “On My Mind” ft. ROSÉ and “Burning Down” with Joe Jonas. His global chart topping #1 hit single “Ordinary” is also now 3x certified Platinum by the RIAA.
This has been a record breaking year for Alex whose hit single “Ordinary” topped charts worldwide. “Ordinary” remained at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks, marking the longest running solo #1 this year. The song hit 16 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay radio chart, breaking the record for the longest reign ever on that chart. It also spent 10 weeks as #1 on the Billboard Global 200 songs chart, eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 Excl. U.S. chart and 13 weeks at #1 on the Official UK Singles Chart. The single is currently #1 for the 22nd week on the US Hot AC Radio tying the longest running #1 in the chart’s history. “Ordinary” joined the prestigious Spotify Billions Club and upon crossing 1 billion streams, Alex was only the second artist to hit the milestone across all songs released in 2025. The song now boasts an impressive 2 billion global on-demand streams across multiple platforms, according to Luminate. Most recently, Alex delivered an electrifying performance of “Eternity” into “Ordinary” at the 2025 MTV VMA’s where he also took home the award for Best New Artist. Watch here.

The Los Angeles Times said, “[KATSEYE] proved no this ain’t their debut at their first Coachella performance…the girl group packed the festival field with Eyekons packed shoulder to shoulder as far as the Do LaB.” “Entertainment Tonight” highlighted their Weekend Two performance of “Gabriela,” noting “KATSEYE serves powerful vocals…” while “Extra TV” said, “In a word… gnarly!…The ladies brought it to the desert once again to perform for their #Eyekons!” Rolling Stone included the group in the feature “What Would Coachella Be Without Pop Girls?”
Formed through HYBE and Geffen Records’ Dream Academy and Netflix’s Pop Star Academy, KATSEYE’s members hail from across the U.S., Europe, Asia, and beyond, bringing a truly international perspective to pop culture. 2025 was a breakout year that saw KATSEYE crowned TikTok’s Global Artist of the Year and earn two GRAMMY nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.” Their latest single, the edgy, high-energy “PINKY UP,” expands the world KATSEYE has been building – confident, playful and always pushing pop forward.
