Billy Idol Debuts New Single “77” Featuring Avril Lavigne
Rock legend Billy Idol is debuting the new single “77” featuring Avril Lavigne from his forthcoming album Dream Into It (due April 25 via Dark Horse Records). The track is accompanied by a Spencer Ramsey-directed animated video; watch/share the video HERE. Idol will be joined by Lavigne for a performance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on April 28.
Dream Into Itis Idol’s first full-length album of new music in over a decade and includes co-writing and performance credits throughout from Idol’s longtime guitarist/collaborator Steve Stevens. The album is produced by Tommy English (Kacey Musgraves, blink 182, BØRNS, K. Flay) and includes appearances by Lavigne, Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart of The Kills. Alongside the upcoming album, Idol and Stevens were recently nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025, with inductees to be announced soon. Idol is also set for the premiere of the new documentary film Billy Idol Should Be Dead at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 10. Directed by three-time Grammy-winner Jonas Åkerlund, Billy Idol Should Be Dead is a feature-length documentary tracing the life and career of the punk pioneer turned rock ‘n’ roll icon. Through never-before-seen archival and personal interviews with Idol, his family, peers and collaborators, the documentary digs deep into his emergence as a prototypical punk rocker, his meteoric rise as a global superstar in the MTV era and the myriad of challenges Idol had to overcome to not just survive, but to remain one of the most beloved figures in rock n roll, almost fifty years into his career. Additionally, Idol is returning to the road for It’s a Nice Day To…Tour Again! Fellow superstar Joan Jett & the Blackhearts will join Idol on all shows. Produced by Live Nation, the run of arenas and amphitheatres kicks off at the Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix on April 30 and includes stops at an array of storied venues includingNew York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD and more. Sombr Announces 2026 ‘You Are the Reason Tour’ Across North America
Rising rock artist sombr is hitting the road in a big way this year. The newly announced You Are the Reason Tour spans 37 dates, bringing the singer to arenas and major festivals across North America through summer and fall.
The run begins with a handful of high-profile appearances in July, including stops in Mexico City, a set at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and a performance at Lollapalooza. The full tour officially kicks off September 29 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, marking the start of a packed fall schedule.
From there, sombr will move through major cities including Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, and Philadelphia. The tour wraps November 23 with a final show at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The tour’s support lineup is just as notable. Artists like Interpol, King Princess, The Last Dinner Party, The Hellp, and Dove Cameron are set to appear across select dates, giving the tour a strong mix of indie, pop, and alternative energy.
Tickets roll out in stages. An artist presale begins April 14 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by additional presales, including a Spotify offering on April 16. General ticket sales open April 17 at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster. Fans can also look to StubHub, where resale tickets are backed by the platform’s FanProtect guarantee, though prices may vary depending on demand.
With a mix of big rooms, festival slots, and a stacked opener lineup, sombr’s upcoming run looks set to be a busy—and loud—season.

The Strokes Announce Global Tour across North America, the U.K., Europe and Japan
The Strokes unveil global dates across North America, the U.K., Europe and Japan kicking off in June and running through the fall.
The tour will see stops including two nights at Red Rocks, London’s The O2, Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, Paris’ Accor Arena, Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome and more. Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Hamilton Leithauser, Fat White Family, Alex Cameron and ÖLÜM will support select dates across the tour.

The Strokes are fresh from Coachella’s first weekend, with headline sets for Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026 and more to come this spring and summer.

Recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin and finished around the globe, Reality Awaits marks the band’s first new music since 2020’s much-lauded The New Abnormal and extensive global touring in its wake.
