FKA Twigs Announces The Body High Tour

Published

on

On the heels of the release of EUSEXUA Afterglow, her GRAMMY® nomination for EUSEXUA and recent win for Rolling Stone UK’s The Album Award, once-in-a-generation artist FKA twigs returns to announce the Body High tour. The Live Nation-promoted tour will see twigs take the music of EUSEXUA and EUSEXUA Afterglow, along with the rest of her lauded discography, across North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe. The North American leg will peak with a performance at Coachella and a long-awaited show in Mexico City before launching the UK/EU leg of the tour in June of next year. Alongside the tour announcement, twigs shares the Jordan Hemingway-directed music video for Afterglow standout “Love Crimes.”

The Body High tour will serve as a culmination of all that FKA twigs has represented to culture over the last decade. These once-in-a-lifetime performances will highlight the iconoclast’s exceptional skills in martial arts, opera, visual arts, vogueing, pole-dancing, and her classically trained background in dance, the latter of which earned her a debut solo as a dancer and guest-honoree with the Martha Graham Dance Company in 2024. Launching March 14th, the Body High tour exemplifies FKA twigs’ expert worldbuilding with immersive performances that will peel back the layers to reveal the core ethos of EUSEXUA in real time.

Starting tomorrow, December 2nd at 10 AM local time, tickets will be available for artist pre-sale. Sign up now at laylo.com/fkatwigs. Additional presales ahead of the general on-sale starting December 5th at 10 AM local time via https://laylo.com/fkatwigs. Supporting acts will include Brutalismus 3000, Eartheater, Tokischa, and Yves Tumor on select dates.

Initially conceived as a deluxe album for EUSEXUAAfterglow defied all expectations and evolved into a full-fledged body of work. Afterglow is steeped in the reverence of techno, but the beats now are fractured and derelict, and playful, most importantly. It is the culmination of all the skills that FKA twigs has developed across her acclaimed catalog — the adoration of the dancefloor evident across EUSEXUA, the playful hooks of CAPRISONGS, the vulnerability of MAGDALENE, the sensuality of LP1, and the waviness of her earliest EPs. Upon the album’s release in November, twigs delivered not only her second groundbreaking album of the year but also an album that tapped into a whole new fan base within the rave and club culture scenes.

EUSEXUA is a word of twigs’ own making, which she defined as the “moment before an orgasm: pure nothingness but also pure focus in a state of eusexua. That’s kind of the way I want to live my life right now,” in her April 2024 cover story for British Vogue. A “love letter to how dance music makes [her] feel,” EUSEXUA was executive produced by twigs herself alongside longtime collaborator Koreless and features additional production from Dylan Brady, Eartheater, Ethan P Flynn, G-Dragon, Jeff Bhasker and Nicolas Jaar, among others.

Upon its release in mid-January, EUSEXUA received rave reviews from outlets such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vulture, Variety, NME, and received a Best New Music stamp from Pitchfork and a Critic’s Pick from The New York Times. It has already been included in several midyear roundups from Consequence, which described EUSEXUA as “a triumph,” Rolling Stone, Variety, NPR, Vulture, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, Paste Magazine, and more.
