Snoop Dogg to Headline BC Lions Concert Kickoff at BC Place

Snoop Dogg will bring his legendary West Coast energy to BC Place this summer. The BC Lions announced this morning that the award-winning rapper, producer, and actor will headline the team’s Concert Kickoff event on Saturday, June 7, ahead of their home opener against the Edmonton Elks.
Presented by the BC Federation of Labour, the performance will take place at 5:45 p.m. on Save-On-Foods Field, inside the stadium.
“I’m very excited to bring Snoop Dogg, one of the most entertaining and decorated rap performers of all-time, to Vancouver to help us begin our 71st season of Lions football,” said team owner Amar Doman. “Concert Kickoff has become the premier event on our city’s summer sports calendar. We’re proud to continue the great tradition with one of the all-time greats.”
Snoop Dogg rose to fame with his debut album Doggystyle, the first of seven platinum-selling records in his career. He remains a major figure in music and pop culture, and his connection to sports is well established. Most recently, he performed alongside Dr. Dre during the Closing Ceremonies of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The duo previously shared the stage at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in Los Angeles in 2022, a performance that also featured 50 Cent, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson .Paak, and earned a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special.
Tickets for the 2025 Concert Kickoff are moving quickly. With the help of sponsors Save-On-Foods and Molson Coors, tarped-off lower bowl sections have been opened up, creating more prime seating options for new season ticket holders. A limited number of suites are also still available.
