OSHEAGA Music and Arts Festival presented by Bell in collaboration with Coors Light is thrilled to announce that Green Day will be playing their first-ever show in the festival’s history this summer, as they take the stage for what is sure to be an unforgettable night of pure punk rock bliss!

The Bay Area trio has been a Montreal favourite since they first burst onto the scene in the early nineties, and this summer, the legendary group will bring the hits for an OSHEAGA headlining set on Saturday, August 3 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montreal.

It has been over 6 years since Green Day last “came around” to play a show in Montreal, leaving the sold-out Bell Centre crowd in awe! Now, with a new album on the horizon called Saviours, the iconic group is preparing a world tour for 2024 that will showcase their searing new material along with anthems from classic albums like Dookie (celebrating 30 years since its release) and American Idiot (that turns 20 next year).

If the new song “The American Dream is Killing Me” is any indication, Green Day are burning with the same intensity that has seen them rise to the top of the charts, reigning atop the pop punk pile since their very beginnings.

Few groups have managed to achieve that perfect balance between writing the catchiest songs while staying authentic to their values, fighting for what they believe in, and rocking out with pure abandon. Green Day is one of those bands, and they will turn Montreal inside out when they play their first-ever OSHEAGA this summer, just minutes away from downtown!

Over the years, OSHEAGA has become a global reference for great music and top-notch festival experiences. Fans now come to the festival to live something they cannot find anywhere else. It’s an indescribable feeling when arriving on-site: the city skyline in the background, a wide variety of top-tier artists, the new talent on multiple stages, all over a perfect island setting.

Tickets are already on sale on Osheaga’s website.
