On March 14th, the legendary Lee Fields and the soulful Monophonics joined forces for an epic live show at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, BC.
Monophonics opened the night. Hailing from California, Monophonics have carved a niche for themselves with their unique blend of soul, psychedelic rock, and vintage R&B. Their horn-driven sound and magnetic energy fully complemented Fields‘ classic soul stylings, creating a fusion of old-school charm and contemporary groove. Monophonics consists of front man, vocalist & keyboardist Kelly Finnigan, drummer Austin Bohlman, bassist Max Ramey, guitarist Aquilles Magaña, trumpeter Ryan Scott, and trombonist Jason Cressey. Monophonics were on point from start to finish, showing that they are at their best when performing for an audience.
Lee Fields, often referred to as “Little J.B.,” is a seasoned soul and funk artist whose career spans over five decades.
