On May 29, British singer and songwriter Holly Humberstone ended her The Holly Humberstone Show tour at a sold out Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.

The evening kicked off with American singer Carol Ades. Ades is mostly known for being a former contestant on the 5th season of The Voice USA when she was 17. Her upcoming debut EP will be released soon. In the meantime, she shared the first single ““I Can’t Wait to be British”.

Around 9pm, the stage glowed as Holly Humberstone and her band appeared, welcomed by enthusiastic applause and cheers. She began with “Paint My Bedroom Black,” the first track from her debut album released in October 2023.

Humberstone‘s performance masterfully blended synth-pop and indie rock. She played “Dive” from her new EP Work In Progress, released in March 2024. She introduced her first single, “Deep End,” and expressed gratitude to the crowd for their support over the past four years, indicating that her career is just beginning.

After chants for an encore, Humberstone and her band returned to perform “Friendly Fire,” with the crowd singing along. The night concluded with the energetic “Scarlett,” which had the entire audience dancing and waving their arms.

Holly Humberstone‘s performance was a heartwarming and unforgettable evening, leaving a lasting impression on Vancouver with her distinctive voice, beautiful songs, and commanding stage presence. Her setlist noted this night as “last day of school :(” with a drawn broken heart, and we couldn’t agree more with the sentiment. We hope to see her back on the road very soon!
