The co-headlined concert featuring Canadian rock band Mother Mother and English indie pop sensation Cavetown continued its national tour at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on June 15, bringing a captivating blend of indie rock and heartfelt acoustic melodies to a sold out lower bowl.

Kicking off the evening, Meet Me @ The Altar energized the crowd with favourites like “Now or Never” and “Kool,” setting a lively tone for the night.

Cavetown, wearing embroidered overalls, danced and jumped amidst a whimsical forest-themed stage that was brought to life by a bright rainbow of lights and colours. His gentle vocals and skilled guitar was highlighted by crowd sing-alongs to tracks such as “Home” and “Juliet.” The atmosphere was enchanting, with giant mushrooms and an inflatable tree trunk adding to the atmosphere.

Mother Mother then took the stage with a hauntingly atmospheric set, complete with fog and dynamic lighting. From the opening chords of “Nobody Escapes” to the anthemic “Arms Tonite” and fan favourites like “Oleander,” their performance was spellbinding. The reprise of “Hayloft” and “Burning Pile” left the audience buzzing!
