Passenger, the moniker of English singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg, graced the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver on September 10th, 2024 for the last date of his tour, with a heartfelt and engaging performance that captivated the audience from start to finish.

Indie pop singer-songwriter, SYML aka Brian Leseney Fennell, opened the night with his band. Under the laughs of the crowd, he recounted his afternoon when he showed at the Commodore Ballroom next door instead of the Orpheum.

Shortly after, Passenger appeared on stage with his guitar. Known for his global hit “Let Her Go” and his soulful acoustic sound, Passenger delivered an intimate solo set that proved his ability to hold an audience with nothing more than his voice and trusty guitar.

Passenger‘s show was a mix of music and storytelling, peppered with witty anecdotes and reflections on his journey as an artist. He drew a sizable crowd eager to reconnect with his music. He opened with tracks from his celebrated album All the Little Lights, which marked its tenth anniversary last year. Highlights included an emotional rendition of “Life’s for the Living” and a crowd sing-along of “Let Her Go,” which he humorously reminded everyone was not to be confused with the Frozen song of the same name. True to form, Passenger’s performance went beyond his studio recordings, showcasing a vibrant stage presence and a keen sense of humour.

Passenger‘s set showcased his talent and the power of simplicity. His dynamic guitar work and soulful voice filled the room, while the lighting enhanced the atmosphere. Passenger will continue his tour to Australia, make sure to head to his website for more info.
