Capaldi debuted “Almost” on his recent 200,000-ticket UK arena tour, inspiring hushed moments and — by the tour’s end — heartfelt sing-alongs to the new song’s cathartic lyrics. Honest and understated, and powered by acoustic guitar even as the rest of the instruments soar, “Almost” explores what it means to move on — or at least to try to. “I swear to God I’m almost alright, I only think about you all the time,” Capaldi sings, proving once again his gift for finding truth and emotion in the most nuanced of details.
Survive features all three monumental tracks that Capaldi has released this year, along with “The Day That I Die,” a raw and incredibly personal song that has been reducing fans to tears in his live set. Most recently, he shared the soul-stirring “Something In The Heavens,” which details loss in all of its forms, but also the glimmers of hope that remain. Watch his breathtaking Live from Abbey Road performance of the song HERE. Upon launch, “Something In The Heavens” became Capaldi’s tenth UK Top 10 single.
Before that, came the upcoming EP’s title track, “Survive.” In June, after two years away from the spotlight, Capaldi broke the silence and made a courageous return with the bold and brave anthem. “Survive” addresses a challenging period in his career that culminated at Glastonbury 2023 when, in an extremely difficult but unifying moment, the Pyramid Stage crowd helped carry an emotional Capaldi over the finish line. The Scottish singer and songwriter recently came full circle, making a triumphant return to Glastonbury with a surprise set that drew major praise. Rolling Stone wrote, “Lewis Capaldi is back and his return made for one of the most emotional Glastonbury moments of the weekend,” going on to dub “Survive” a “Song You Need to Know” and “an empowering, emotional ballad.” Billboard deemed Capaldi’s return, “One of the best moments from Glastonbury […] a momentous occasion and the weekend’s most emotional moment.” Watch Capaldi perform “Survive” live at Glastonbury, HERE.
“Survive” is already an enormous hit, becoming not only the UK’s fastest selling single of the year thus far, but also Capaldi’s sixth No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. That achievement puts him in the esteemed company of Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Drake, Lady Gaga, and Queen. Capaldi’s since brought the song to Good Morning America as part of their “Summer Concert Series” and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he also sat down for a moving conversation. Capaldi joined This Past Weekend With Theo Von for a revealing interview, too, and just this month visited The Graham Norton Show alongside Taylor Swift, where he once again charmed audiences with his trademark wit and heartbreaking songwriting.
Ahead of his celebrated Glastonbury performance, Capaldi first played a series of intimate May shows in Scotland as a guest of the mental health charity CALM, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Week. With no pressure, and no level of expectation, the shows allowed Capaldi the space to gauge his comfort and emotional response before returning to the limelight. Now, after weathering the kind of storm that no one can prepare for, Capaldi embraces his new era with a renewed sense of purpose. Lewis Capaldi isn’t just surviving, he’s returned stronger than ever, heart wide open, and ready to step out again.

Luke Combs Announces 12 New Stadium Shows for 2027 ‘My Kinda Saturday Night Tour’
Luke Combs is extending his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour into 2027, announcing 12 new stadium shows across the United States.
The new dates continue the tour that Combs launched in 2026, though fans can expect a different lineup of opening acts. Treaty Oak Revival, Avery Anna, Shenandoah and Wyatt McCubbin will join Combs at various stops throughout the 2027 run.
The tour takes its name from “My Kinda Saturday Night,” a song from Combs’ latest album, The Way I Am. The singer recently wrapped the 2026 leg with three sold-out performances at London’s Wembley Stadium.
For now, the 12 newly announced stadium concerts are the only dates listed on Combs’ official tour calendar. Tickets for all 12 shows go on sale August 21.
The announcement had been teased throughout the week, with several venues revealing details before Combs officially announced the dates on Thursday morning.
The limited schedule reflects a shift in how Combs is approaching life on the road. With three young children — ages four, nearly three and six months — the singer has spoken about putting more time aside for his family. The days of spending most of the week away from home may be becoming less common for the country star.
That does not mean Combs is stepping away from the stage. Every 2027 date announced so far is scheduled at a football stadium with a capacity of at least 60,000 people.
The strategy is similar to one adopted by several major country artists in recent years, including Morgan Wallen: fewer shows in much larger venues. Rather than spending months on the road playing arenas and smaller venues, Combs can reach a large audience with a limited number of performances.
For fans, that makes each stop a bigger event. For Combs, it offers a way to keep touring while spending more time at home with his family.
Tickets go on sale August 21.
