Concerts Reviews
Los Angeles Has the Time of Their Life with Peach PRC

If LA needed a reason to coat themselves in glitter, the Peach PRC concert was it! On September 14th, Australian pop singer Peach PRC made her way to the Teragram Ballroom on her self-titled tour, filling the venue front to back. Waves of pink flowed through the crowd and fans came fully decorated in glitter and fairy wings.

As a fan of Peach since coming across her TikTok videos while binge scrolling during the pandemic lockdown, my excitement to see her perform live for the first time was evident. Known as a personality on the platform, the singer-songwriter shares her struggles with mental health, relationship tales and advice on self care. Her willingness to hold nothing back along with the mix of her vulnerability and hilarious quick wit makes her both relatable and entertaining. Those traits carry right into her music – with tracks that explore mental health, celebrate queerness, call out trash exes and even praise some plastic attachable accessories, her music holds no limits.
“Perfect For You” and “Blondes,” her debut single released in 2019, started the night with their bright pop sound. Barefoot and wearing a fully rhinestone pink bra with a crocheted pink mini skit, Peach PRC bounced around the stage while fans jumped along waving their hands in the air to track “Time of My Life.” Peach took the time to showcase her vocals with more stripped down numbers “Favorite Person” and “Loved You Before.” The bubblegum pop fairy then stunned fans as she performed a delicate but sensual pole number before transitioning into “Like a Girl Does,” the song an anthem to queer women.
“Now I can be gay and fun and slutty,” exclaimed Peach before heading into the strap on worship track “Sweet n’ Low,” as the crowd waved small pink flags with the track name into the air. Middle fingers high, fans jumped and sang passionately along to “F U Goodbye” and keeping that energy shouted, “Fuck off stop calling me, Josh” as Peach performed her hit single “Josh.”

Peach PRC has quickly made her impact on the queer community, her music and performances providing safe and accepting spaces for anyone identifying within LGBTQ+. Her lyrics uninhibited, honest and unfiltered, this manic dream pixie would have had the industry’s heads spinning had she been around during the y2k bubble gum pop era. The venue packed with fans singing along to every word, the crowd showered Peach PRC with love, showing her power as a pop princess. You can catch Peach PRC still on tour as she heads to Chicago, Canada, Boston, Brooklyn and DC.
