Counterparts Brings ‘Heaven Let Them Die North America’ Tour to Winnipeg

On Saturday morning, Oct 11, Counterparts had already shared on Instagram: “Sold out show in Winnipeg.” Step inside the Park Theatre and it’s easy to see why: the venue was packed, the crowd loyal, the energy palpable.
The night kicked off with Split Chain from Bristol, UK, hitting hard with tracks like “Future” and “Get Inside.” Thirty minutes in, and the crowd was already losing it. Then came 156/Silence, storming the stage with “Better Written Villain” and “Target Acquired,” relentless energy spilling over the room. Thrown closed the opener slot with a chaotic, fun set instructing the crowd on how to mosh, guitarist pulling off his own stunts, and the drummer swinging sticks like there’s no end. Songs like “On the Verge” and “Look at Me” kept the crowd screaming every line.
It looked like a long night, three opening bands on the bill before Counterparts even hit the stage. No complaints though, every second with the openers was a thrill. Crowdsurfing everywhere, mosh pits erupting, headbanging, jumping the energy was untouchable.
Counterparts tore through their setlist like a counterstrike. Every shred, every beat counted. Fans wore tees reading “Heaven Let Winnipeg Die”, nodding to their latest album Heaven Let Them Die. Tracks like “A Martyr Left Alive” and “No Lamb Was Lost” hit with zero breaks, pushing straight through the encore. “Love Me” and “Whispers of Your Death” closed the night all-time favourites sung back at full throttle by the audience.
After completing their North America Heaven Let Them Die tour, Counterparts will be heading to Europe and the UK.
