Declan McKenna at the Fox Theater in Pomona – Gallery

On November 20th, English indie rock musician Declan McKenna concluded his What Happened to the Beach? Tour at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA. Allie Crow Buckley opened the night.

Fresh off of supporting Sabrina Carpenter on her Short n’ Sweet Tour, McKenna wrapped up his time state-side with an energetic crowd that sang his deeper cuts that hadn’t played in a few weeks right back at him. Kicking off the night with one of his newest singles, “That’s Life,” McKenna and his band had electric energy right from the start.

The setlist heavily featured songs from the new album What Happened to the Beach? with older fan-favorites sprinkled throughout. The band closed out with “Brazil” and “British Bombs” back to back followed by an encore, leaving the crowd buzzing.

Bursts of colorful light amplified McKenna’s glittery gold guitar and backdrop, and with just the right amount of fog, a glam rock atmosphere filled the theater.

All together, the band went out on an incredibly high note for the final night of their tour, and on the way out of the theater, fans were overheard wishing it wasn’t over.
