Live Review – The Weeknd Takes Vancouver by Storm with a Sizzling Performance at BC Place

On August 23rd, 2022, The Weeknd graced the stage of a sold-out BC Place in Vancouver, and the heat in the air was nothing compared to the fiery show that unfolded within. With the stadium’s roof closed on a particularly hot day, the audience found themselves sweltering, but that didn’t deter anyone from experiencing a night of unparalleled musical ecstasy.

The setlist for the night was a carefully curated journey through The Weeknd‘s discography, taking the audience on an emotional rollercoaster. From the very beginning with “Alone Again”, the atmosphere was electric, with the crowd’s energy palpable. “Gasoline” and “Sacrifice” had the audience dancing and singing along, as if the heat was merely an afterthought.

The Weeknd showcased his versatility with songs like “How Do I Make You Love Me?” and “Can’t Feel My Face”, and the crowd responded with enthusiasm. “Take My Breath” was a standout performance, and the visual effects combined with the music created an otherworldly experience.

The latter half of the show featured tracks like “Die for You”, “I Was Never There”, and “Wicked Games”, which showcased The Weeknd‘s ability to convey raw emotion through his music. “Blinding Lights” closed the night on a euphoric high, leaving the audience begging for an encore.

With an extensive setlist that spanned his career and some unexpected surprises, The Weeknd delivered a performance that will be remembered for years to come. The artist’s magnetic stage presence and the incredible energy of the crowd made this concert an unforgettable experience. The Weeknd‘s performance in Vancouver was truly a night to remember, and it solidified his status as a musical icon.
