Soccer Mommy at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver

On Tuesday, March 4th, Soccer Mommy brought a dreamy indie rock vibe to the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver.

Opening the night was Los Angeles singer-songwriter Hana Vu. She brought an upbeat yet emotional vibe with many songs off her newest album “Romanticism” such as “Care”, “Hammer” and “22”.

Sophia Regina Allison, better known as her stage name Soccer Mommy is an American singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. She has released music since 2015 and has been an opener for big names such as Kacey Musgraves, Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore and Vampire Weekend.

Soccer Mommy brought a simple yet effective stage design with flowers and an interesting visual screen in the back, aligning with her newest album Evergreen.

The night was a mix of more emotional songs, such as “circle the drain,” and songs highlighting her talented band in “Driver,” and “Abigail”.

Although she doesn’t stray far from her bread and butter “Sad-girl indie vibe”, she knows what works and continues to deliver songs that fans alike cannot get enough of.
