NSL Ottawa Rapid FC vs Montreal Roses FC

On a sunny Sunday in Ottawa, the Ottawa Rapid FC faced the Montreal Roses FC on May 25th, 2025.
It was a hard fought first half, with a few opportunities for either team. The Rapid FC utilised their wing players in the likes of Lee and Downing that created some great chances but they were not able to capitalize. On the other end, the Roses FC had the best chance in the first half with a volley by Whitaker that was dramatically saved by Rapid FC goalkeeper Eriksson.

The stalemate wouldn’t last long in the second half however. A corner kick for the Montreal Roses FC would lead to a goal by defender Hill in the 54th minute, her first of the season.
The Rapid FC continued putting pressure on the Roses FC for the remainder of the game, looking for that equalizer goal. They would get a golden opportunity in the 92nd minute. A foul in the box committed by the Roses FC’s Hill on Rapid FC’s Belzile would result in a penalty kick. Pridham would step up to take the penalty, and with just minutes remaining in the game, she would score the equalizing goal.

The final score would stay Rapid FC 1 – 1 Montreal Roses FC.
