Cult of Venus Releases “Sinners” And Tours With St. Vincent

Today, Cult of Venus drops her new single “Sinner” ahead of joining St. Vincent on a European tour, with stops in Italy, Austria, the UK, and Germany. The track follows the success of “Algorithm,” which racked up over 900,000 streams and expanded her global following. Released on her own label Liberty Belle Records (FUTURES/Virgin Music), she says: “A word used to invoke guilt, SINNER is is for all women who have been made to feel shame for any part of themselves. It is about radical self acceptance as a road to redemption.”
“Algorithm,” released while touring 28 U.S. cities in support of CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry, earned praise from key tastemakers and major radio support from stations like Alt Nation, BBC Radio 1, KROQ, BBC 6Music, 98.7 Los Angeles, and KCRW.
A multi-disciplinary performance artist, Cult of Venus has performed at venues including MOMA PS1, Chapel Bar at Fotografiska for David LaChapelle’s FAITH, and The Women’s March NYC. She’s also performed as an artist-in-residence at Rikers Island women’s jail in New York. Her work blends music, art, and activism, tackling environmental collapse, Disaster Capitalism, and the impact of social media surveillance. Her upcycled merch line has raised thousands for the Women’s Prison Association and other local charities.
The upcoming EP visuals were created with Sarah Schmitt, known for work with Julian Casablancas, The Voidz, The Strokes, and Suki Waterhouse, and shot by Moody Darkroom. The “Algorithm” video was edited by Charlie Robins.
